What happens when you stop building apps and start building an ecosystem?
I've been thinking a lot about this question while building iDemand Driver Inc.
Most startups begin with one product:
Find a problem → build a solution → acquire users → scale.
But what happens when you intentionally build multiple technology products that can eventually work together?
That's the direction we're taking with the iDemand ecosystem.
We're developing products across:
- 🤖 AI & automation
- 💳 Payments
- 🛡️ AML & compliance
- 🎵 Music technology
- ⛓️ Blockchain & Web3
- 🛒 Digital commerce
- 🔐 Cybersecurity
- 📊 Business infrastructure
The challenge isn't simply building each product.
The bigger engineering question is:
How do you architect multiple products so they can become part of one ecosystem without creating a giant, impossible-to-maintain monolith?
I'm interested in hearing from developers and architects who've worked on multi-product platforms.
What would you prioritize first?
A. Shared identity/authentication
B. Shared APIs and services
C. Event-driven architecture
D. Shared payments infrastructure
E. Data interoperability
F. Something else
I'm building this in real time, so I'd love to hear how other developers would approach the architecture.
