Data Science in not bad actually. It is related to machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI). Do you know how YouTube, Netflix, Google or Spotify knows what kind of things you want to see? They use ML and AI to predict what you want to see based on your history to show you what you want to see.
That is an amazing field. Personally, after several years into web development, I eventually plan on learning Math and Stats and then going into AI, ML or research field in general.
