Whenever I speak to coders about AI, the biggest fear is this:
“If I use ChatGPT, is it considered cheating?”
The truth is, AI isn’t here to replace learning — it’s here to accelerate it.
If used correctly, coders can learn faster, deeper, and with more confidence.
Here’s how.
1️⃣ Turn AI Into Your Study Buddy
Instead of memorising blindly, let AI simplify concepts.
Prompt:
“Explain quantum physics like I’m 12 years old. Use analogies from sports or video games.”
This breaks down complexity into digestible ideas.
2️⃣ Generate Practice Questions
Studying theory is half the work. The other half is testing yourself.
Prompt:
“Create 10 practice questions on [topic] with varying difficulty. Include the answers at the end.”
Suddenly, revision becomes interactive.
3️⃣ Summarise Textbooks in Minutes
Instead of reading 50 pages in one sitting, ask AI to condense it into the essentials.
Prompt:
“Summarise Chapter 3 of [topic]. Give me 5 key takeaways and 2 real-world examples.”
4️⃣ Learn by Teaching Back
One of the best ways to master a subject is to teach it.
AI can role-play as a beginner.
Prompt:
“Pretend you’re a student who doesn’t understand [topic]. Ask me 5 simple questions so I can practice teaching them back.”
5️⃣ Plan Study Timetables
AI can act as your personal productivity coach.
Prompt:
“Create a 14-day study plan for [project name]. Break it into daily tasks, mix review + practice, and leave buffer days.”
6️⃣ Research Smarter, Not Longer
Instead of skimming hundreds of links, use AI (tools like Perplexity AI) to gather summaries with sources.
Prompt:
“Summarise the latest research on climate change impacts in energy. Include sources I can cite.”
Final Thought
AI shouldn’t do your homework for you.
It should help you:
- Understand faster
- Practice smarter
- Learn deeper
Used responsibly, AI turns learning from a stressful grind into a focused, empowering process.

1,2 and 6. I do that efficiently ! Especially 2, after learning a concept in DSA I ask AI to give me some questions to solve, and when I get it wrong, it teaches me what's the problem too... I think following up with ChatGPT after learning a concept is so good 😊
Really true. That’s really a smart way to use AI as a learning partner. It’s like having a tutor available 24/7, testing your understanding, pointing out mistakes, and helping you iterate until it clicks. 😊
AI is not just a tool to develop but also a tool to learn faster.
Learning should be top priority now.
