Unfortunately, in the non-tech corporate world, I've found most people at work to be unappreciative to efforts to help them out. Everyone these days is so focused on the minutia that they're constantly measured on. Anything that doesn't make those little numbers look better for them is unwanted. I'd say that in many cases creating reports that result in metrics-based micromanagement make the world a worse place.
