This morning while I was in a web meeting the fan on my 5yo MacBook Air was blowing a bit much. I checked Activity Monitor thinking it would be bad javascript on the website doing the web meeting. I was surprised to find that the process maxing out a core was a Safari Service Worker for dev.to.
I closed the dev.to tab that I had open and my fan stopped spinning shortly thereafter.
