I recently started timeboxing tasks on my schedule and learning is one of them, so I dedicate a time of the day exclusively to do that, without distractions.
I tried waking up at 5:00 am as you are doing for some time but I started burning out after few months. I am also a dad with two kids and finding time for yourself is definitely challenging. How do you feel with that schedule? Cheers
It’s challenging. I don’t always wake up on time (I still snooze alarms), so I just make do with the remaining time I have in my learning schedule. Sometimes I’m able to complete 4 pomodoros, sometimes I complete just 2 or 3, which is fine with me. I’m fine clocking in an hour or less of learning than none at all.
Glad to know I have fellow dads here!
