If I did my work as good as I intended to, my colleagues could pick up things while hardly missing a beat. However, The development throughput of my team would be reduced until a replacement developer would be sufficiently onboarded (~1 month at least).

Reduced throughput is okay and should be expected. You need to worry if your team will be locked out of servers and encrypted data.
That shouldn't ever happen if the IT department did their job.
