TL;DR: SharpAPI's affiliate program has been rebuilt from the ground up. Every existing partner has a new referral code in their dashboard, every old referral was migrated, and there's a new partner dashboard at sharpapi.com/dashboard/affiliate with live current-month revenue tracking and PDF commission statements. The economics did not change — 30% recurring commission, paid for the entire lifetime of every referred subscription, $50 minimum payout, no cap on earnings. It is especially well-suited to AI agencies and automation consultancies who already deploy AI tooling for clients.

What changed
If you were already a SharpAPI affiliate, three things just changed for you:
- You have a new referral code. It is waiting in your account at sharpapi.com/dashboard/affiliate. Please use it from now on. Your old links still attribute correctly, but the new code is the canonical one going forward.
- Every referral you ever brought in was migrated. Your historical relationships, your earnings, your standing in the program — all preserved. You do not need to re-onboard your contacts.
- There is a brand new partner dashboard. It replaces the old, minimal "here's your code, good luck" view with something you can actually run a side-business on.
If you are not in the program yet, the entry path is the same: sign up for a free SharpAPI account, share your link, and once you have brought in 2 paying users you can apply to formally join the program and start earning.
How it works in 4 steps
- Get your link. Free SharpAPI account → open the affiliate dashboard → copy your link. Done in under a minute.
- Share or implement. Send the link to your audience, drop it in your blog footer, or use it when integrating SharpAPI into a client's product. Anyone who lands on sharpapi.com via your link is attributed to you for 60 days.
- They subscribe, you start earning. Free trials don't count — the meter starts when a referred user becomes a paying customer. You then earn 30% of every Stripe payment they make, every month, for the entire life of their subscription.
- Cash out. Once your unpaid balance crosses $50, request a payout from the dashboard. We pay via PayPal or bank transfer and issue a formal PDF commission statement for your records.
What you'll see on the new partner dashboard
The dashboard at sharpapi.com/dashboard/affiliate gives you four things the old setup never did:
- Live current-month revenue. A running preview of what is accruing this month, before it even closes. You no longer have to wait until the 1st of next month to know whether your latest campaign moved the needle.
- Per-referral subscription status. See exactly who you brought in, who is on a paid plan, and roughly how much each one is contributing to your balance.
- Issued commission statements. Every payout generates an immutable PDF statement that snapshots the issuing entity, your billing details, the period covered, and every line item. Your accountant will love you.
- Clean payout history. Every request, every payment, every reference number, in one place.
Why this is built for AI agencies and AI-automation consultancies
If you run an agency that ships AI features, AI agents, or automation workflows for other companies, the program is shaped to work with your business model, not around it.
- Recurring per-client revenue, not a one-off finder's fee. Most affiliate programs pay you once. SharpAPI pays you 30% of your client's subscription every month for as long as they stay. One implementation, indefinite revenue.
- Stacks on top of your existing pricing. Your client pays SharpAPI the same price regardless. The commission comes out of our margin, not theirs. So this is purely additive to whatever retainer, setup fee, or build invoice you already charge.
- Works for every use case in our catalog. SharpAPI covers e-commerce (product descriptions, reviews, moderation), HR (resume parsing, job profiling), content (SEO tags, paraphrasing, translation), travel, and custom workflows you can define yourself. If you are integrating any of these for clients, you are leaving money on the table by building from scratch.
- Formal statements for every payout. Because you get a real PDF commission statement, this is clean to declare as agency revenue in any jurisdiction. It is set up to look exactly like the kind of accounting document your bookkeeper expects.
- No cap. Bring in 5 clients, bring in 500 — the rate stays the same and the payments keep coming.
A useful mental model: if your agency currently bills $5,000 to integrate AI into a client's product and that client ends up on a $200/month SharpAPI plan, you are also collecting $60/month — every month, indefinitely — just for using SharpAPI in the build. Across 20 active clients that is an extra $1,200/month of pure margin you did nothing additional to earn.
Program rules in plain English
- Self-referrals are not allowed. Using your own link to get a discount on your own account does not work.
- Free trials don't count. A referral becomes commissionable when they start paying.
- Closed-month accounting. We credit commissions once a calendar month has fully closed and Stripe revenue is final. The current month is shown as a preview, not a guarantee.
- Refunds reduce the matching month's commission. If a referred user is refunded, that month's commission adjusts proportionally.
- No fraudulent or artificial activity. We reserve the right to decline payouts where the activity isn't legitimate.
- $50 minimum payout, no cap on earnings.
The full terms are presented inside the application form when you join.
FAQ
Do I need to do anything because of the migration?
Just one thing: start using your new referral code. It is in your account at sharpapi.com/dashboard/affiliate. Your old links still attribute correctly so anyone who clicked one in the past will be tracked to you, but the new code is the one we are maintaining going forward.
Did I lose any earnings or referrals?
No. Every existing referral relationship was preserved during migration. Your standing in the program, your historical attributions and your earnings carry over.
How do I get paid?
Once a calendar month has fully closed, we credit 30% of every Stripe payment your referrals made that month. When your unpaid balance reaches $50 you can request a payout from the dashboard. We pay via PayPal or bank transfer and issue a formal PDF commission statement.
What happens if a referred user cancels or gets a refund?
Cancellations stop future commissions but you keep everything earned up to the cancellation date. Refunds reduce the corresponding month's commission proportionally — so a partial refund means a partial commission adjustment, not a full clawback.
Can I earn from implementing SharpAPI for clients?
Yes — this is exactly what the program is shaped for. If you build, integrate or automate workflows for clients using SharpAPI, just use your affiliate link during setup. You earn 30% for as long as the client stays subscribed, on top of whatever you charge them for the implementation.
Is there a limit to how much I can earn?
No. The more customers you bring, the more you earn. It is recurring revenue for the entire lifetime of each subscription, with no monthly or annual cap.
How is this taxed?
Each payout you receive is accompanied by a formal PDF commission statement that snapshots the issuing entity, your billing address and the period covered. Treat it the way you would any other affiliate / partner income in your jurisdiction — your accountant will recognise the format.
