A decentralized organization called Earth DAO is announcing a social network to address the need for a Web3 social media website development alternative days after yet another discussion and calls for one.
By methodically altering the incentives, intentions, and internet protocol that social media is based on, the platform is known as the social. The network seeks to address the social conundrum.
Because Web2 social media is a tremendously difficult social and technical problem, we have spent years developing a superior substitute. For newer Web3 technologies like Ethereum, Polkadot, Avalanche, etc., to compete with Web2 social networks at scale, centralization will likely need to be reintroduced into the stack. However, Sukhveer Sanghera, a contributor to Earth DAO, claimed that the Internet Computer Protocol has the most potential to do so in a manner that doesn't.

Traditional social media businesses have been under fire recently for weakening democracy and exploiting user data for advertising money at the expense of tearing apart society.

By holding or producing NFTs in their self-custody wallets, users on the public network will be able to join DAOs on the network. When NFTs are purchased and sold on the marketplace, a percentage of the proceeds will go to whichever DAO the user decides to support.
It is a network that is completely decentralized from the start; there are no central servers, intermediaries, or custodians.
Many of the decentralized social networks that have already come online are often VC-driven money grabs, ironically by the same folks who brought about the problem. Given what we now know about the impact social network technology has on the world, we must take care to set Web3's initial conditions appropriately because, in physics, the initial conditions of a model have a substantial influence on the outcome. What we're actually discussing, according to Sanghera, is where we as a species wind up on Earth, given the rate at which AI is evolving at these corporations.
In order to encourage a better future for reality on Earth, the platform is getting ready for a fair debut without any VC backing.
