I joined Twitter a few days, and I was not initially clear about how it was going to be beneficial to me since I never used Twitter or seen it other than just people using it for activism or politics, however once I saw the rich and supportive community of web and software developers, I was flabbergasted.
I don't think I could such vibrant access to tips, tricks, insights, and advises better than the Twitter platform, all provided by friendly people who genuinely want you to grow and succeed. Its where a lot of people from different parts of the world who share similar interests express themselves and be a part of a community. I must say, it is really encouraging to see others also deciding to code and learn and struggle, giving a sense that you are not alone in your journey.
A lot of people come from completely different backgrounds and start taking interest in coding, regardless of age or programming experience. They are all in the same boat and are trying their best in what they decided to do, so you got to as well!
Next Steps?
Join Twitter! Become a part of a community you are interested in (i.e Sports, Books, Movies, Science, Tech, or even Stars Wars) and share your thoughts, tweet silly things, connect with others, and/or just have fun! It is totally okay to have a change of interests.
Expose yourself to different opportunities, no matter how scary the initial thought is. Why? Because you get to experience challenges, obstacles and mistakes. These are actually blessings in disguise where the more you face them, the more you learn.
I hope you keep persevering in whatever hardship you may be in and give your best, but to also go out there and try new things and become involved in something beyond yourself.
These are my thoughts on Twitter. What about yours? :)
