👻 GhostCode — The Offline AI Programmer

I built GhostCode, an offline AI programming assistant powered by an open-weight language model running locally on my laptop.

Instead of sending source code and debugging information to a closed cloud service, GhostCode keeps the interaction local. Developers can ask the Ghost to analyze errors, explain code, generate solutions, and remember previous debugging sessions.

The spooky personality is part of the experience, but the real "ghost" is the local AI living inside the machine.

Open innovation mattered because it gave me control: I could run the model locally, keep code private, change the model, customize its behavior, and continue using the application without depending on a proprietary API.
