I had an app idea that sounded brilliant whenever I explained it to a friend. The problem started when I tried explaining it properly. What should happen when someone signs up? What should they see first? What happens if they make a mistake? Suddenly, my “simple idea” had twenty unanswered questions. I considered hiring a developer, but I knew I would probably spend half the budget figuring out what I actually wanted. Instead, I used Greta to create an early version of the product. It wasn’t perfect, and that was the point. Seeing the screens made it easier to notice missing steps and confusing decisions before turning them into expensive development work. I also discovered that one of my planned features wasn’t necessary at all. I had spent days describing an idea that took a few minutes to understand once I could actually interact with it. That experience changed how I approach AI app development. Sometimes, you don’t need to start by finding someone who can build your idea. You need to make the idea clear enough to build in the first place. A working prototype can help you do that far earlier than a detailed document or another planning meeting.
