I Rebuilt the App Because of Five Words.

Someone looked at the prototype and said:

“I wouldn't use this every day.”

Five words.

That's all.

I could've ignored them.

Instead, I asked why.

The problem wasn't the feature.

The problem was the friction around it.

There were too many clicks.

Too much information.

Too much setup.

So I rebuilt the main experience in Greta.

I removed screens.

Moved the important action forward.

Changed the flow.

Then showed it again.

“I'd use this.”

Same person.

Same product.

Five words had completely changed the direction.

That's one of the strange things about building prototypes quickly.

Feedback becomes much more useful when you can actually act on it.

If changing the product takes weeks, you start defending decisions.

If changing it takes an afternoon, you start experimenting.

The speed doesn't just change how fast you build.

It changes how willing you are to listen.

And sometimes the most valuable product feedback is a sentence that initially sounds completely harmless.
