Can you publish a roadmap? I'm sure most of these users will be more patient and understanding if they can have a horizon to look for to. That doesn't mean you have to say yes to each and every request but seeing "Q2 2019" is better than nothing.

Having a public road map should also help internal discussion and commitment to the platform.

Does it make sense?

A roadmap makes sense. I think it helps to have some kind of prioritizing.

One thing that makes sense is a Product Vision created by key stakeholders. Another thing that you could try is „Buy a feature“.

AWS recently published their container services roadmap. They did it to appease customers and keeping them for asking continuosly "is this feature going to be released?":

Knowing about our upcoming products and priorities helps our customers plan. This repository contains information about what we are working on and allows all AWS customers to give direct feedback.

Love that they explicitly avoided putting release dates:

Q: Why are there no dates on your roadmap?
A: Because job zero is security and operational stability, we can't provide specific target dates for features.

That's a great idea, and something I hadn't thought about to honest. I always appreciate knowing what feature requests are being delivered for the tools I use so will put something together.
