Hey all, this is brazen self-promotion but since I discovered the #blogging tag and writing is my mainstay, I thought I would share some readability tools that help improve writing. Technical and business people tend to use longer sentences than is right. Also, the passive voice is used too often (hehe, see what I did there?). Long sentences and the passive voice are hard to process. They usually don't add value. As a rule, your writing will be brisk and clear if its grade level is between 7th and 9th.
