What if your next adventure started just a few steps outside your house? ππ
We spend hours scrolling through places on our screens, but how often do we actually step outside and explore them?
Thatβs the idea behind our project. π

Weβre building a location-based discovery platform where people can explore nearby spots, share photos of places they discover, and compete through community-driven scores and a live map.
π Discover places around you.
πΈ Share what you find.
π Compete for the crown at different spots.
πΊοΈ Turn your surroundings into an adventure.
The idea is simple: make exploring the real world more engaging. Instead of always looking for something to do online, why not discover a hidden spot nearby, visit somewhere new, or see your neighbourhood from a different perspective?
On the technical side, weβre working with JavaScript, React/Next.js, Leaflet maps, and Supabase to bring location-based discovery, community posts, and real-time map updates together.
One of the interesting challenges is making the map feel alive β new posts should appear without refreshing the page, and location-based discoveries should feel immediate.
This project is a reminder that technology doesn't always have to keep us glued to our screens. Sometimes, it can be the reason we put our phones away and step outside.
Built with curiosity, code, and a little push to explore more. π±
Happy Hacktoberfest! π»
