The maximum punishment for the offense of intentionally causing harassment, alarm or distress is a fine of up to $5,000 and/or an imprisonment term of up to 6 months. These maximum penalties are doubled for repeat offenders. But this is such bullshit in my opinion! Those people have to go to jail, and not for 1 or 2 years, but for 8 years minimum. Otherwise, harassment will continue, and the number will even grow. And for the victims, I would suggest that they hire a sexual harassment attorney and find a professional psychologist because such a case might cause you a lot of mental damage.
