The problem of long queues which the public generally have to face when they are going to any event with a large population. It always happens that every big stadium has around 10-15 gates for entry through which thousands of people enter on the match day and they report to their respective gates before 6-7 hrs of the actual starting of the match. In the period of waiting in long queue creates a headache for both the organisers and also the individual. It becomes more difficult for females, small children, and mainly for senior citizen. There sometimes unwanted situations like stamped occur that even leads to death.
APPROACH
Our focus here will be to make a virtual queue and slots according to the number of people who have booked ticket for the match and they will report at the gate whenever their slot arrives. This will solve the problem of long queues and exhaustion which they face.
Secondly, the human force which is required to handle such long queues will also be now removed and with of help of technology now, we can handle such thousands of people.
SOLUTION DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE
Our project has 2 sides:
- organiser will create the slots for booking at the time of releasing tickets.
- individual will book the slots according to availability and as per their time convenience.
For organiser:
The input he will give to the application is the total number of individuals registered for the match and the time duration before which the gates will open for the individual so that they can enter the stadium.
For individual:
He will enter his booking id in the application and he will be taken to a page where the slots available will be shown to him. He can thereby form a group by entering their ids, book the place in the slot and at the time of entering he will only have to enter the booking id at the entry spot and the gate will open his group.
Relaxation time:
After completion of some slots (like 3-4, it will be decided by the organisers) the individuals who have missed their turn in their respective slots will be allowed to enter in that relaxation time.
Making it convenient for the public:
Here we have also considered the problem of lack of smartphone usage in a country like. For this, we have a solution. What if the person buys the ticket from any ticket counter, where he will be asked about his convenient slot and the person selling the ticket of the match will book his slot. Also, for more convenience of the public, this portal will be accessible by the retailers with internet access so that if booking slot will be much easier and more convenient now.
Decreasing time wastage:
For decreasing the time which will be elapsed while the entering process is going on at the entry gate, we came up with the solution of grouping. While going to watch a match, maximum people prefer going in groups, so to rather than entering every individual booking id at the entry gate, one member of the group will book the slot, and he will form a group in our application by entering the id of all the members of his group. And hence while entering, the group will have to enter the booking id of the person who has booked the slots and then they can enter serially as the id was entered in our application. This process looks a little complicated but it will decrease the time wasted and the groups can enter together to the match.
To keep a check on a number of people entering in one id, there will be a person from organiser team. Data displayed on the screen will be the name of a person who has booked the slot. As soon as he enters his unique booking id, the data shown will be a number of people who are there in his group and their respective booking id. So, by this, there will be no scope of cheating and trespassing.
Execution Guide
Please note that all permission requests must be allowed and it should be constantly connected through the internet.
- Enter the location (city) where the event is going to take place.
- Now It will show venue of events, choose the venue by just clicking on it.
- Now insert your booking ID then enter total no. of members with you along with their booking Ids.
- Select the proper slot as per your requirement and submit.
Your slot will be booked, now you just have to arrive at the slot booked.
