Frase Pricing 2026: Trial Limits, Annual Billing and Extra Costs

Affiliate disclosure: We may earn a commission if you subscribe through our Frase referral link, at no extra cost to you. The pricing below comes from Frase's own published pages; the referral link does not change your price.

Choose a Frase plan by your article, audit and seat needs, then check the annual commitment and optional extra costs. The trial is a limited evaluation window, not a permanent free production plan. This guide separates the content subscription from CMS hosting so you can avoid paying for a layer you do not need.

Prices below were read from Frase's pricing page on October 8, 2026. This is a documented price check, not a measured ranking test: no tool moves a ranking inside a seven-day window, and Frase says so on the same page.

Frase plans at a glance

Plan Monthly billing Annual billing (per month) Annual total Seats Sites Articles/mo Audit pages/mo
Starter $49/mo $39/mo $468 1 1 10 50
Professional $129/mo $103/mo $1,236 3 5 40 250
Scale $299/mo $239/mo $2,868 5 10 100 1,000
Enterprise Custom Custom Custom Custom Custom Custom Custom

Annual billing takes 20% off the monthly rate and is charged once for the year; Frase states you can switch back to monthly whenever you want. The annual totals above are the per-month annual price multiplied by twelve. Extra seats on Professional and Scale cost $29/mo each — Starter has no extra-seat option.

Frase displays "4.8/5 on G2" on the same page. That is a vendor-displayed aggregate score, not our measurement.

What each tier actually includes

All three paid tiers run the same loop: research, writer and generated images, SEO and GEO scores, publishing to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity or Wix (or FraseCMS), and an agent that can auto-publish when you switch it on. Your monthly article count is the only limit on the agent.

Feature Starter Professional Scale
Articles per month 10 40 100
Audit pages per month 50 250 1,000
AI generations per month 25 100 350
AI diagrams and infographics — 20 50
Seats included 1 3 5
Domains 1 5 10
Content Guard pages watched 10 75 300
AI Visibility engines ChatGPT, Google AI + Perplexity + Claude, Gemini
AI Visibility prompts 50 200 500

Historical data Current only 3 months 12 months
Content calendar — Yes Yes
Internal linking suggestions — Yes Yes
Client-ready exportable reports — — Yes
Roles and permissions Single seat Owner, Admin, Editor, Viewer Owner, Admin, Editor, Viewer

Enterprise adds white-label reports, a branded client portal, SSO/SAML, a dedicated account manager with an SLA, custom limits, custom API access and two years of history.

Overage: optional on paid tiers, never a surprise

This is the part most pricing pages bury.

  • Starter holds at its limit. You stop at 10 articles and 50 audit pages until the cycle resets or you upgrade. Frase explicitly frames this as "a surprise bill is off the table."
  • Professional and Scale can turn on pay-as-you-go capacity, off by default:
Overage item Professional Scale
Extra article $5.00 $4.00
Extra audit page $0.50 $0.40
Extra AI prompt $0.25 $0.20

Overages bill at the end of your cycle and only apply if you enable them.

The 7-day trial: what is actually capped

Frase offers a 7-day free trial with no credit card, on Professional's full feature set, including agent auto-publishing. The quantities are capped at:

  • 5 articles
  • 50 audit pages
  • 25 AI prompts
  • Up to 3 seats

So the trial is a real working window, not a standing free plan. Do not plan ongoing production around it.

FraseCMS hosting: a separate cost line

Every Frase plan includes FraseCMS hosting free at 100,000 page views/month with a small "Powered by Frase" badge. If you want your own domain path and no badge, that is an add-on on top of your plan:

FraseCMS tier Price Page views Notes
Free $0 (included) 100,000/mo 25 GB bandwidth, Frase badge, pauses past the cap
Basic $19/mo 250,000/mo Subdirectory or subdomain, no badge, 100 GB bandwidth
Pro $99/mo 1,000,000/mo 500 GB bandwidth, dedicated support

Yearly billing on FraseCMS saves two months. Past the cap, the free tier pauses until the month resets; Basic and Pro keep serving at $1.00 per extra 1,000 page views (Basic) and $0.50 (Pro), with a spend cap defaulting to your base price.

Frase also publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity and Wix — if you already host a blog, you do not need FraseCMS at all. If you separately automate publishing tasks, budget that orchestration on its own; see Make pricing for its subscription layers. This is a budgeting reference only, not a tested Frase-Make integration.

How much Frase costs in practice

Solo writer, one site. Starter at $39/mo yearly covers 10 articles and 50 audits. If you publish more than roughly ten pieces a month, Starter's cap is the real constraint, not the price.

In-house content team. Professional at $103/mo yearly is where seats, the content calendar, internal linking and the content calendar live. Budget an extra $29/mo per additional seat above three.

Agency or multi-site brand. Scale at $239/mo yearly adds 10 domains, 5 seats, client-ready reports and 100 articles.

FAQ

Does Frase have a free plan? No standing free plan. You get a capped 7-day trial without a credit card, plus Frase's free 100,000 page-view CMS hosting allowance.

What happens when I hit a monthly limit? On Starter the plan holds at the limit. On Professional and Scale you may optionally enable pay-as-you-go; without it, the plan holds there too.

Is annual billing cheaper? Yes — 20% off the monthly rate, prepaid for the year.

Can I change plans later? Upgrades are prorated immediately; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

Are the prices above still valid? They were read from Frase's own pricing page on October 8, 2026. Pricing pages change; re-check before committing to annual billing.

The bottom line

Frase's sticker prices are $39 / $103 / $239 per month billed yearly, with a hard cap on Starter and opt-in overages above it. The real decision is volume: ten articles a month fits Starter, forty needs Professional, and anything above that belongs on Scale. Start with the no-card seven-day trial, check which ceiling you hit first, then pick the tier that matches it.

Check Frase's trial limits and current terms before starting an evaluation.
