And it is not just the coders. It is the platforms that teach coding.
Platforms like GeeksforGeeks and other traditional tutorial sites are in extreme danger. In fact, they are slowly becoming useless.
Here is my hot take: We are in 2026, and almost no one is coding manually anymore. AI writes the boilerplate, and humans just guide the logic.
So why are platforms like GeeksforGeeks still surviving today?
Because the tech hiring process is still completely stale.
Companies are stuck in the past. They still ask students to solve manual Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) problems or write code on a whiteboard. Because of this, students flock to these platforms. But they are not really learning how to build modern software. They are just acting as "certificate collectors." They use these sites to memorize answers and tricks just to crack outdated interviews.
And here is the funniest part: GeeksforGeeks has even started promoting ChatGPT in their posts! 😂
Did OpenAI pay them for this? They are basically helping to promote the exact tool that is making their core business model obsolete! It is like a taxi company promoting self-driving cars.
But here is the hard truth: The tradition of manual coding in interviews is already changing. Smart companies are starting to realize that memorizing an algorithm does not make you a great engineer in the AI era.
Once the hiring process finally catches up to reality and stops testing for manual syntax, these platforms will get totally destroyed. The certificate collectors will stop paying, and the DSA grinders will vanish.
If platforms like GeeksforGeeks do not pivot hard right now - focusing on system design, AI orchestration, and real-world problem-solving instead of manual coding - they will not survive.
