I don't mind coding test. In the 90's they ask us coding test, and if we are smart to give a correct solution in 20 minutes, even if the solution is not optimal, they hire us. If they feel we memorized the optimal answer, they don't hire us.
But nowadays, a person who can think and can give a correct, nice solution in 20 minutes, they don't hire. They hire the person who has done the Leetcode and know the answer to the "optimal solution". So people read questions after questions, trying to crack it and crack it. And the companies want to be cracked. They don't care.
