Happy New Year 2026!
2025 was an amazing year for the Somnia ecosystem. Somnia launched its mainnet, built a strong ecosystem with the best community, and has an exciting vision ahead.
SurvivFun launched on Somnia almost 6 months ago. We have run 3 play-and-earn seasons, added a new map, new guns, new vehicles, new collections, and daily quests. We made many of mistakes along the way, but many of you have played from day one until now. Thank you so much for your support and feedback.
It's a new year and a new chapter for SurvivFun. This short update shares some problems we have seen and simple solutions to make the game more fun and fair for everyone.
1. Play-and-Earn Ranking
The current play-and-earn system creates barriers for real gamers. Survivor's cards were meant to stop bots and farmers, but they also make it hard for new and casual players to join the leaderboard and compete.
Also, seasons longer than 30 days are too long for most people. Not everyone has time to play every day for a full month.
My proposal: Switch to short fun events that anyone can join. Each fun event lasts just 7 days. Everyone competes on the same leaderboard with no card required. We will have at least 7 days off before the next one starts.
This shorter format feels more fair and easier for most players to join regularly.
2. Game Assets and Rewards
Many game assets have been minted. This has hurt the supply and demand balance.
Simple fix: Set the chance of getting new items from crates to zero. This stops extra minting and helps existing assets keep better value.
3. Survivors Cards
We will lower the price of Survivors cards so more people can buy them if they want to earn.
Cards will no longer be required to join the leaderboard, but holders will get double rewards per match.
Looking ahead to 2026
We are very optimistic about the year ahead for SurvivFun. More fun features are coming, and with prediction markets landing on Somnia, the Surviv leaderboard will get even more exciting.
