Haxcms Independent Study

How do you feel about the editor?
I feel pretty satisfied using HAXcms platform since it was very user friendly. I also enjoy the layout of the content management system. At first, it took me less than 5 minutes of trial and error to figure out most of the functions on the site. I found it very interesting that I was able to search up videos, images, and gifs within the site itself since it provided everything I needed. Finally, I think the site would be very easy and manageable to utilize the tools and functions of the site compared to Wordpress or Drupal.

What would you change about the editor?
I would change a couple of features on the editor since I believe these changes would benefit the site's growth and usability. The first thing I would change is the site's theme since it kind of outdated in terms of design, I feel as though it would need to have a modern look. I would Descriptions of each tool and it displays its functionality when the user hovers over the action button. I would also like to be given a tutorial for some tools since it would be easier to learn how each function works to improve my knowledge of the tools given. For example, I had trouble adding captions to an image and I wasn't completely sure if I was using the right tool. So i think it would be very helpful to have a help page with tutorials of the tools present on the site. Another thing I would add to the site Is a undo button since I tend to make a couple of mistakes adding or deleting certain text by an accident. Having a undo button would save me a lot of time fixing my mistakes instead of starting the entire process over again. Finally, I would add functions of choosing the size of the text, and types of fonts. It took me a long time to figure out how to change certain fonts and sizes by messing with the headers and using the remove format button to manipulate the text.

Is this editor more efficient to use than the current Gutenberg editor from the WordPress lesson?
I do believe that this editor is efficient to use compared to my experience with the Gutenberg editor from Wordpress. I feel as though HAXcms is easy to learn, everything that the user would need is organized into categories and every tool is connected with similar functionality as other tools. All the tools are altogether unlike Gutenberg that has everything spread all over the place.

What did you like most about Classic Editor?
What I like about classic Editor allows me to add plugins to make blog posts within Wordpress. I also like its flexibility giving the user the ability to change which type of editor to use. The classic editor is consistent with the user's preference of what editor would be used when the user returns to the site.

What did you like most about Gutenberg?
What I like about Gutenberg is having the ability to utilize fewer plugins, create layouts using different types of media and the editor would look exactly how I would publish it. It was fun adding images with text to make my site have that blogger aesthetic such as the single block editor.

What did you like most about HAX?
What I like most about Hax is having the ability to create your website from scratch. Building my website was easy to build and manage. It was nice to have the necessary tools to add my content, such as the image, video player, and search button. HAXcms is very efficient for managing your content page while giving the user to publish and edit with minor issues. I’m excited to use HAXcms very soon.

What was most frustrating about HAX?
The only two things I found Frustrating with HAXcms was not being about to have a history of my progress just in case I accidentally deleted a certain paragraph. I feel that was the only frustrating aspect of HAXcms since I would have to redo my entire work all over again, instead of undoing my mistake.
