Experiencing occasional poor sleep is usually not a reason to assume Parkinson’s disease. Stress, lifestyle, caffeine, medications, work schedules, anxiety, and many other factors can affect sleep. However, repeated episodes of acting out dreams, particularly involving kicking, punching, shouting, or falling from bed, deserve medical attention.
