There is so much substance in this article. One of the best I've read lately.

The "enablers", what a great name for those who propel you forward.

There are also the "disablers", those antagonists who challenge you. I had to face one in a team until I just couldn't anymore. It was such a bad experience that I asked to be removed from the team. Others also had issues with him. He ended up being fired.

But is not all bad, despite being an idiot he was skilled and pointed out my weaknesses. In doing so, I became aware of the areas I needed to reinforce.

Thanks so much for the thoughtful comment. I really appreciate it.
I’ve had one of those experiences too, actually just last year. Interestingly, in the same team where I had someone who constantly challenged me, I also had an “enabler” who kept reassuring me that it was going to be okay. Having both at the same time was strange but also really formative. The challenges showed me where I needed to grow, and the support made sure I didn’t lose confidence along the way.

This opening captures the heart of 'Echoes of Experience' perfectly. That magical moment when code becomes creation — and the people who nurture that magic — that's what this challenge is all about.

Thank you for the article, and besides that, especially thank you for mentioning LOGO.

It prompted me to look for information about the program, and I found that there's KTurtle, a successor of the program for running on Linux, and I'm going to introduce it to my children.

That’s awesome to hear! I can assure you they’re going to have a lot of fun with it 😊
LOGO-style environments are such a great gateway into programming for kids.
KTurtle sounds like a great modern successor 🐢. Hope your children enjoy exploring it!
