If the first one, then this person doesn't deserve your respect and tell it to the upper management (e.g. HR. PM or tech lead).
If the second one, then take their response with a grain of salt. It looks like you took it absolutely to the heart, which is wrong because you are not the code, you're only the person that wrote it.
