Before turning a product photo into ad creatives, write the SKU rules

AI product image tools make ad creative production faster.

The weak point is usually not speed.

It is product drift.

Before generating ad images, I would write a short SKU rule list:

exact color
shape and proportions
label or logo placement
material finish
hardware or cap shape
packaging
included parts
details that must stay visible
props that must not appear
This list becomes the creative boundary.

A useful first ad set
From one product photo, create:

product-led crop
lifestyle use case
feature closeup
scale or comparison image
retargeting crop
vertical mobile crop
Each image should test one angle.

If one image changes the scene, offer, product size, benefit, and prop set at the same time, the test will be hard to read.

The QA pass
Before upload, check:

Does the product still match the real SKU?
Did AI add an accessory?
Did the scene imply a bundle?
Is the scale believable?
Does the ad match the product page?
Is the product still clear on mobile?
Is the file sharp after compression?
Does the image make a claim the page cannot support?
The goal is simple: more creative tests without a less accurate product.
