Can I basically use Nextjs like I do React? BUT, use Nexts client and server “add ons” or “security measures”.... their way?

With using Firebase, it’s proving to seem 3 steps more to do one step in React, why?

I have my data for my products by a CMS “Airtable”, then I’m using Firebase for my Users profiles, authentication and what they add to their profiles. Airtable is just for products.
