MicroBiz — Open AI for Small Business Growth
Team: @zenieverse
Parent platform: Dr. T
Module: MicroBiz
What I Built
MicroBiz is an AI-powered small-business support module within Dr. T, designed to help entrepreneurs, independent business owners, and small teams turn ideas into practical business resources.
Small businesses often lack the time, budget, and specialist support needed to create professional marketing content, develop business plans, organize training materials, and process business documents. MicroBiz aims to make these tasks more accessible through AI-assisted tools in one platform.
Its core workflows include:
- AI Course Generation: Help business owners create educational and training materials.
- AI Marketing Copy: Generate promotional content to communicate products, services, and business offers.
- AI Business Plan Generation: Turn business ideas into structured business-planning documents.
- Document OCR: Extract text from documents to reduce manual data entry and make information easier to reuse.
MicroBiz is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs, microbusinesses, local service providers, independent creators, and small-business support organizations.
Potential paying customers include small-business owners, entrepreneurship programs, incubators, training providers, and organizations supporting local economic development. Possible future revenue models include subscriptions, paid AI usage, and organizational plans; these are potential models rather than confirmed revenue.

MicroBiz is built as part of the Dr. T platform, with dedicated business-oriented AI and document-processing workflows.
How I Built It
MicroBiz extends Dr. T's application architecture with focused AI workflows for business productivity.
The implementation includes server-side API routes for course generation, marketing-copy generation, business-plan generation, and OCR-based document extraction. The broader platform uses Google's AI ecosystem, including the @google/genai SDK, with Firebase/Firestore and cloud infrastructure supporting application data and services.
Rather than presenting AI as a generic chatbot, MicroBiz organizes its capabilities around specific tasks that entrepreneurs need to complete. This task-oriented approach helps users move from a business idea to usable content and structured documents.
The module is designed for further development, including stronger workflow integration, multilingual support, and improvements based on real small-business needs.
Why Does Open Innovation Matter?
Small businesses should not need enterprise-sized budgets to benefit from AI.
Open innovation makes it possible to build on shared tools, reusable software, and evolving AI ecosystems to create practical business capabilities at lower development cost. It also allows developers to experiment with different models, improve individual components, and adapt applications to local markets and languages.
For MicroBiz, this means exploring how accessible AI infrastructure can support entrepreneurs who may not have dedicated marketing teams, business consultants, or document-processing staff.
The larger goal is to make AI-powered business assistance more accessible and adaptable, while keeping the application modular enough to evolve with new models and community contributions.
