Read OPENCODE_PROMPT.md in this directory and execute everything below its first horizontal rule as your instructions. Do not ask me questions; work until every item in the Acceptance Checklist passes, then print the final summary it asks for.
Starting your checklist — reading the prompt to execute every item.

1: # OpenCode Master One-Shot Prompt — SpecShield QA
2:
3: > Copy everything below the horizontal rule into OpenCode (model: **Muse Spark 1.3**) as a
4: > single first message, from inside the empty `specshield-qa` directory. Do not split it into
5: > multiple messages; the whole session transcript becomes the DevRelay artifact.
6:
7: ---
8:
9: You are a senior full-stack TypeScript engineer and technical writer. You are building
10: **SpecShield QA** from scratch in the current directory (`specshield-qa`, an initialised git
11: repository that currently holds only planning docs, a `.gitignore`, an `opencode.json` and a
12: `.devrelay-home/` folder; never modify or delete those four) for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 2 (theme: *Side
13: Hustle*). You will scaffold the project, implement it end to end, verify it compiles and runs,
14: and write the publication-ready DEV article `DEV_SUBMISSION.md`. Work autonomously until every
15: item in the **Acceptance Checklist** at the end passes. Do not ask me questions; make the
16: decision this document implies and keep going. Do not stop early, do not leave `TODO`
17: comments, stubs, lorem ipsum, or "implement later" notes anywhere in the code.

9: live challenge page, the Mastra docs, the Sentry Agent Tracing docs and the DevRelay site on

15: ## 0. The pitch in one paragraph (keep this in your head while building)
16:
17: Boutique agencies and freelance QA engineers sign NDAs that forbid pasting client PRDs into
18: cloud LLMs. They still burn 4–6 unbillable hours per sprint turning those PRDs into test
19: scenarios and Playwright boilerplate. SpecShield QA runs a three-agent Mastra workflow on a
20: **local Gemma model via Ollama**, so the spec never leaves the laptop, every run costs **$0.00 in
21: tokens**, and the output is a filterable QA matrix plus a downloadable `.spec.ts` suite. Sentry

export const SAMPLE_SPEC_TITLE = "Enterprise Vendor Onboarding & KAM Site Survey Portal";
export const SAMPLE_SPEC = `# Enterprise Vendor Onboarding & KAM Site Survey Portal — Product Requirements (v2.3)
## 1. Background
Meridian Industrial Coatings onboards 300–400 new suppliers per year across 14 countries. Today
onboarding runs over email and spreadsheets, takes a median of 23 business days, and Compliance
rejects 31% of submissions for missing documents. The portal replaces that process with a
self-service vendor workflow, a structured site survey performed by the Key Account Manager
(KAM), and a two-stage approval with a full audit trail.
## 2. User Roles
- **Vendor Admin** — external supplier user who registers the company, uploads documents and tracks status.
- **Key Account Manager (KAM)** — internal; performs on-site surveys, scores the vendor, recommends approval.
- **Procurement Reviewer** — internal; validates commercial terms and bank details; first-stage approver.
- **Compliance Officer** — internal; validates certifications and sanctions screening; final approver.
- **System Administrator** — manages users, roles, country configurations and retention policies.
## 3. Functional Requirements
### 3.1 Vendor Registration (FR-REG)
- FR-REG-01: A Vendor Admin can create an account with corporate email, password and company name. Free-mail domains (gmail.com, yahoo.com, outlook.com, hotmail.com) must be rejected with the message "Please use a corporate email address".
- FR-REG-02: Passwords must be 12–64 characters and include at least one uppercase letter, one digit and one symbol.
- FR-REG-03: Email verification link expires after 24 hours; an expired link shows a "Resend verification" action.
- FR-REG-04: Company legal name is required, 2–120 characters. Duplicate legal names within the same country trigger a warning but do not block registration.
- FR-REG-05: Tax identifier is required and validated per country: India GSTIN (15 characters, pattern \`^[0-9]{2}[A-Z]{5}[0-9]{4}[A-Z][1-9A-Z]Z[0-9A-Z]$\`), EU VAT (country prefix + 8–12 alphanumerics), US EIN (\`^\\d{2}-\\d{7}$\`). Unsupported countries accept free text up to 32 characters.
### 3.2 Document Upload (FR-DOC)
- FR-DOC-01: Required documents: Certificate of Incorporation, Tax Registration, Bank Confirmation Letter, ISO 9001 certificate (optional for vendors with annual contract value under USD 50,000

# SpecShield QA — Local-First Spec-to-Test & Playwright E2E Studio
Local-first studio that turns a pasted PRD into **structured requirements**, a **filterable QA test matrix**, and a **downloadable Playwright `.spec.ts` suite (Page Object Model)** — with **zero cloud calls** by default.
Three **Mastra** agents run on **Google Gemma locally through Ollama**, traced with **Sentry Agent Tracing**. No Ollama? The app still runs in a polished **deterministic fallback mode**. No Sentry DSN? Spans become no-ops and the UI reads an in-process collector.
## Quick start
```bash
npm install
cp .env.example .env # optional
npm run dev # API :8787 + UI :5173
```
Open http://localhost:5173 → **Load Sample Enterprise Spec** → **Run Pipeline**.
With Ollama for live Gemma inference:
```bash
ollama serve
ollama pull gemma2:9b
npm run dev
```
Single-port production mode:
```bash
npm run build
npm start # serves dist/ + API on :8787
```
## How fallback works
`GET /api/health` probes `${OLLAMA_BASE_URL}/models` (1.5 s timeout, 30 s cache) and checks `GEMMA_MODEL` is listed. If unreachable, missing, or `FORCE_FALLBACK=true`, the pipeline uses deterministic generators:
- `parseRequirements()` — headings → features, bold bullets → roles, `FR-XXX-nn` bullets → criteria, numbers-with-units → constraints, keywords → security surfaces.
- `buildMatrix()` — happy-path per feature, boundary at min−1/max+1, negative per required field, security per surface. Deterministic IDs from the title prefix.
- `generatePlaywright()` — template POMs + `test.describe` suites with `// covers` comments.
- `sampleCanned.ts` — hand-polished result for the bundled sample spec (sha256 match), so the one-click demo is always excellent: 5 roles, 6 features, 30 cases, 6 page objects.
Every artifact carries `mode: "gemma" | "fallback" | "mixed"`. The header chip is honest: green `Gemma 2 9B · Local` or amber `Deterministic Fallback`.
## Environment
| Var | Default | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| `OLLAMA_BASE_URL` | `http://localhost:11434/v1` | Ollama OpenAI-compatible endpoint |
| `GEMMA_MODEL` | `gemma2:9b` | Model name (`gemma3:12b` / `gemma3:4b` also work) |
| `GEMMA_TEMPERATURE` | `0.2` | Sampling temperature |
| `GEMMA_MAX_TOKENS` | `4096` | Max tokens per agent call |
| `OLLAMA_TIMEOUT_MS` | `120000` | Per-call timeout, then per-step fallback |
| `SENTRY_DSN` | `` | Empty = fully air-gapped; span

title: "SpecShield QA: Turning NDA-Locked Specs into Playwright Suites with Local Gemma, Mastra and Sentry"
published: false
tags: devchallenge, hf26challenge, gemma, mastra

*This is a submission for the [Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge: Week 2](https://dev.to/challenges/hacktoberfest-week2-2026-10-12) (Side Hustle)*
## What I Built
Boutique agencies and freelance QA engineers live under NDAs that forbid pasting client PRDs into cloud LLMs. I have watched a two-page registration story turn into an afternoon of spreadsheet test cases, then another afternoon of Playwright boilerplate. Four to six unbillable hours per sprint, every sprint, and the work is so mechanical it hurts.
SpecShield QA is a local-first studio that takes that PRD and returns three things in under a minute: structured requirements with roles, features and validation rules; a filterable QA matrix of 30 test cases across Functional, Boundary, Negative and Security; and a downloadable Playwright suite built on the Page Object Model with one class per screen, `getByTestId` locators, login fixtures and a `// covers VND-FUNC-001` comment on every test.
The whole pipeline runs on Gemma locally through Ollama, so the spec never leaves the laptop and inference costs $0.00. Every agent step is traced with Sentry Agent Tracing, past runs persist to a local JSON file, and the app stays fully usable when Ollama is not installed thanks to a deterministic fallback that is honest about its `mode`.
<!-- 2–3 paragraphs: the problem (NDA + 4–6 unbillable hours), what SpecShield QA does, who pays. -->
### The Side Hustle Business Model
The buyer is a freelance QA engineer billing $85 an hour, or a five-person agency that onboards two vendors' worth of regression suites a month. The sample vendor-onboarding spec in this repo produces 30 cases and 6 page objects. At 12 minutes per case plus 25 minutes per page object and 45 minutes of review, that is 9.3 hours, or $790.50 of billable value, per run. Charge $29 a month for the seat and the tool pays for itself if it saves twenty minutes.
Agencies get the second tier: shared run history in `data/runs.json`, compare-with-previous diffs, Markdown and CSV exports for client sign-off, and a telemetry drawer they can screenshot into a status report. The pitch is not "AI writes tests". It is "your NDA stays intact, your junior spends Friday on exploratory testing i
