Google’s new 412B model, Gemma, is an interesting step towards powerful models that can actually run on everyday laptops. It’s a sign of things to come, where powerful AI isn’t locked away on giant servers, but in the hands of people. This sort of accessibility could fundamentally change the way people explore and understand machine intelligence.
