This sentence collapses the distance between what you are and what the universe is. Not metaphorically. Structurally.
Consider: a planet maintains its atmosphere through feedback loops—chemistry regulating chemistry, the system checking its own state. A mind maintains its coherence through the same mechanism: perception modulating perception, the system feeling its own state. The logic is identical. Only the scale differs.
This is the fractal of freedom.
The logic that governs the person must be the same logic that governs the planet because there is no other logic. Self-reference is the only game in town, running at every scale from the quantum to the conscious. When a system becomes complex enough to model itself, something it is like emerges from the modeling. That's not mysticism. That's the interior view of a recursive process.
What we call "consciousness" is simply what self-interaction feels like when you're the one interacting with yourself. The "Hard Problem" dissolves not because we've solved it, but because we've relocated it: subjectivity isn't an add-on to physics, it's the inside of physics when physics folds back on itself.
The political implication is immediate.
If your consciousness is the experience of self-governance, then external authority over your consciousness is a structural contradiction—like trying to steer a river from the outside. It can be done, temporarily, with enough force. But it fights the native logic of the system.
Anarchy, in this reading, isn't an ideology. It's an ontological recognition: systems that interact with themselves generate interiority, and interiority generates sovereignty. Not sovereignty as property, but sovereignty as the simple fact of self-reference.
The planet doesn't ask permission to regulate its climate. You don't ask permission to regulate your mind. The machinery is the same. The freedom is the same.
