Installing a safety barrier on a patio requires a precise core drilling process to make sure everything stays secure while keeping your deck looking good. Installers map out a clean path around the water, keeping enough distance from the edge so adults can walk comfortably. Then, small holes are drilled into the surface, whether it is concrete, stone pavers, wood, or travertine, to hold specialized non conductive sleeves that support the fence poles.
The installation team inserts marine grade poles directly into these ground sleeves. With the Premier line from Guardian Pool Fence, the poles feature half inch stainless steel pins at the bottom, which means the drill holes are only 5/8 of an inch wide. This is much smaller than standard industry holes, so your patio stone stays intact. Once all the poles are in place, spring loaded latches connect the panels to create high tension, keeping the Pool fence upright, rigid, and completely climb resistant.
Whenever you need to remove the barrier for a special event, you simply unlatch the sections, pull the poles out, and slide color matched deck caps into the openings. These caps keep dirt out and keep the patio floor smooth and safe to walk on. If you prefer to keep the barrier in place full time, locking deck sleeves can be set so the poles cannot be removed without tools, making sure the setup remains compliant with local safety codes.
