Everything You Copy, Ready When You Need It### A lightweight clipboard history that makes everyday work on your Mac much easier

Copy and paste is one of the simplest and most useful features on a computer.

It also has one frustrating limitation: the standard Mac clipboard remembers only the most recently copied item.

Copy a link, then copy a sentence, and the link is gone. Copy an image, then realize you still need the text that came before it, and you have to return to the original app and find it again.

This happens all day without attracting much attention. Each interruption may cost only a few seconds, but the repeated searching and switching quickly becomes annoying.

That is why I created Copy 2 Clip.

Your Recent Clipboard Is Always Available

Copy 2 Clip runs from the Mac menu bar and keeps a history of the things you copy.

Open the menu-bar window and your recent clipboard items are ready to reuse:

• Text
• Links
• Code
• Images

Copy Something New Without Losing the Previous Item

Imagine that you are completing a form.

You copy your customer number and paste it into the first field. Next, you copy an address. Then the form asks for the customer number again.

With the standard clipboard, you must return to the original document and copy it a second time.

With Copy 2 Clip, both items remain in the clipboard history.

Copy 2 Clip includes a filter field at the top of its menu-bar window. Type part of the text or link you remember, and the list narrows to matching entries.

This is particularly useful for URLs, code fragments, technical notes, names, and sentences copied earlier in the day.

You do not need to remember where the item originally came from. You only need to remember part of its content.

Text, Links, Code, and Images Stay Recognizable

Different clipboard items are presented in a way that makes them easy to identify.

Links appear as links. Images include a thumbnail. Code and longer text retain enough visible content to distinguish one item from another.

This is more useful than a clipboard history that reduces everything to an indistinguishable line of text.

A quick glance is often enough to find the item you need.
