Turn Any Screenshot Into a Shareable Link
Screenshots are easy to create on a Mac. Sharing them is often less convenient.
The image may need to be saved, attached to a message, uploaded to a support system, or dragged into a browser before anyone else can see it. This is unnecessarily complicated when all you really need is a link.
SCREEN2.LINK reduces the entire process to one shortcut.
Capture, Upload, Paste
Press ⇧⌘L and select an area of the screen.
The screenshot is automatically uploaded to screen2.link, and a short sharing URL is placed on the clipboard. The link can immediately be pasted into:
Messages
support tickets
forums
project management tools
online documents
There is no need to save the screenshot, locate the file, open a browser, or manually upload anything.
The complete workflow is:
Press ⇧⌘L
Select an area
Paste the link
Built Around the macOS Menu Bar
SCREEN2.LINK runs quietly in the menu bar and stays out of the way until it is needed.
A screenshot can be started using the global shortcut or directly from the menu. Once the selected region has been captured and uploaded, the generated link is immediately ready on the clipboard.
This makes the app particularly useful when documenting a problem, asking for technical support, reporting a visual bug, or quickly showing someone what is visible on the screen.
Instead of attaching a large image to a conversation, simply paste a link.
Recent Uploads Stay Within Reach
The app keeps a local history of recently uploaded screenshots, including thumbnails and their corresponding links.
A previous upload can be opened or copied again without taking another screenshot. The local history is automatically cleaned after 30 days, matching the lifetime of the uploaded files.
Nothing needs to be organized manually.
Temporary Sharing Without an Account
SCREEN2.LINK does not require registration, an account, or a subscription.
Uploaded files remain available for 30 days and are then automatically deleted. Screenshots are transferred to screen2.link over HTTPS, and no analytics are included in the Mac app.
Because the service is intended for temporary sharing, it is not designed as permanent image storage. Sensitive information should still be removed or hidden before capturing the screen.
The IP address used for an upload is stored with the file so abuse can be investigated if necessary.
A Small Tool for a Common Task
Large screenshot applications often include editors, screen recording, cloud libraries, backgrounds, OCR, and many other features.
SCREEN2.LINK has a more focused purpose:
Turn a selected part of the screen into a link as quickly as possible.
It complements local screenshot and OCR tools rather than trying to replace them. Use a full screenshot editor when an image needs extensive preparation. Use SCREEN2.LINK when someone simply needs to see what is on the screen.
From Screen to Link in Seconds
A screenshot should not require a multi-step upload process before it can be shared.
With SCREEN2.LINK, the image never has to appear on the desktop at all:
Select it. Get the link. Paste it anywhere.
