How to Pay AWS Bills in Naira: A Quick Guide

With AWS now supporting Naira, you can skip juggling foreign exchange and just focus on building. Heres how to set it up:

  1. Log In to Your AWS Account

Head to the AWS Console and sign in as usual.

  1. Go to Billing and Cost Management

Youll find this under the main menu.

  1. Preferences and Settings

Once there, look for an option labeled Payment Preferences.

  1. Edit Payment Currency

Click Edit , then pick Nigerian Naira (NGN) from the dropdown.

  1. Save Changes

Congrats, future invoices will be issued in Naira!

Why This Matters

No More FX Fees Youre not burning extra cash on currency conversions.

Local Payment Ease Its simpler to manage local transactions and budgets.

Aligns with the Lagos Local Zone Perfect if youre leveraging AWSs local zone in Nigeria.

Thats it! Its quick, its easy, and it saves you from fiddling with exchange rates. Now you can invest the difference in testing, automations, or that next big idea.

Peace to all, and happy building!
