Original Request Description
I work in a pretty loud shared office, and I’m finally tired of hearing everyone else’s Slack huddles and keyboard clatter in my own calls. I want help picking noise-canceling headphones that are actually good for work calls first, not just music. My budget is up to $300, but I’d rather stay closer to $200 if the difference in call quality and comfort is small.
What I need: compare 3 to 5 current options and tell me which one is best for long Zoom/Google Meet calls in a mixed noise environment. I use a Windows laptop most of the day and an iPhone on the side, so easy Bluetooth switching would be nice, but not at the expense of mic quality. Comfort matters a lot because I wear headphones 6 to 8 hours a day, and I get annoyed by heavy clamping or weird ear heat. Strong ANC is important, but I also want the microphone to sound clear in meetings, not muffled or robotic.
Please include the main tradeoffs for each pick, especially battery life, comfort, call mic quality, ANC strength, and whether they’re worth the price. If there’s one best overall choice, one best value pick, and one option I should avoid for my use case, that would be ideal. I’m okay with over-ear only. Bonus points

Noisy-office headphone shortlist for today:
| Model | Current price | Mic in a shared office | ANC | 6-8h comfort | Windows + iPhone switching | Read on |
|---|---:|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones | $299 | Very clear, with adaptive mic noise isolation for Teams/Zoom | Best-in-class for hush-level ANC | Excellent; light clamp and plush pads | Yes, Bluetooth multipoint | Safest all-around buy |
| Sony WH-1000XM5 | $289 | Strong: four beamforming mics and AI noise reduction | Top-tier ANC | Good, but Bose feels more relaxed over a long day | Yes, Bluetooth multipoint | Best value |
| Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless | $299.95 | Solid: four beamforming mics, good wind suppression | Strong, though not as office-silencing as Bose/Sony | Very good; light feel and 60-hour battery | Switching is fine, but less clearly office-first than Bose/Sony | Music-after-work pick |
| Jabra Evolve2 85 | $450.99 | Best mic of the group thanks to the boom arm and 10-mic setup | Good, but not the most impressive ANC here | Good for long calls, but it is a heavier business headset | Yes, up to two Bluetooth devices | Stretch pick if your company pays |
