Range extenders are used for extending the range of existing wireless networks.
The point to understand install the range extender where you are getting the strong signal (means near the wireless router).
Installing is simple.connect the LAN cable to the laptop, normally the ip address will be automatically assigned to the laptop. Open cmd check the default gateway. Open browser, put the default gateway in the address bar, enter the credentials and configure it accordingly.
