Carbon capture is no longer limited to research laboratories and climate-policy discussions.
Today, carbon capture technologies are being developed for cement plants, refineries, direct air capture facilities, concrete production, commercial buildings and smart-city infrastructure.
But not every carbon capture company is solving the same problem.
Some companies capture COâ‚‚ from industrial exhaust. Others remove carbon dioxide directly from ambient air. Some convert captured carbon into concrete, fuels, or chemicals, while biological systems use microorganisms such as microalgae.
