I have been looking into tools for managing big company networks and I want to talk about Network Test Pro.
If you are in charge of a network with many different parts from various companies you know it is tough to make sure everything runs well and is safe especially when you have to set everything up by hand.
Then I found out about Network Test Pro and what they have to offer.
They say their tools can really help with these problems.
The main things they focus on are:
- Protocol and Packet Analysis. They use tools like Wireshark or TShark to help you understand what is going on with your network traffic using Network Test Pro.
Network Test Pro is supposed to make things easier, for you and that is what I want to discuss Network Test Pro.
Main focus points:****
Protocol and Packet Analysis: Good integration of standard tools such as Wireshark, Tshark, et al., for better analysis.
Bandwidth/Latency testing before performance issues become "emergency tickets": Bandwidth and latency tests done with iPerf3, LAN Speed Test, et al.
Monitoring and IP Address Management: This appears to be the main offering – integrated IPAM/Address Management and real-time monitoring.
What I found interesting is that they use automation a lot. I do not like doing things over again like changing settings by hand. So I think it is great that they have things like zero-touch provisioning and multivendor device management. These things help us avoid mistakes when we are setting things up. That is always a good thing.
I am posting this because I want to know if anyone here is already using the things that this vendor provides. Do you use their product along with tools, like SolarWinds and PRTG or do you use it as the main way to manage things?
I would really like to hear what you think about it. Is it really easy to set up the automation. Is it not that simple?
