I've been putting off a portfolio site for way too long. Thanks for the inspiraton/motivation.

The only thing is I don't want it to be a carbon copy of my CV on the web. I want it to tell more and be something unique.

I used Google's PageSpeed Tool probably not the absolute best, but it's the best free option I could find. The screenshots I took were from a few weeks ago, they changed the look of the tool recently.
