Started working on the Reverse Proxy mode for CIDS. Once this layer is stable, I'm planning to release the Reverse Proxy mode as open source.
Before opening up the repo, I'm focusing on getting the core proxy basics right:
- Forwarding traffic to upstream servers without breaking requests
- Tracking session behavior across requests instead of single hits
- Blocking, tarpitting, or diverting bad traffic based on risk score
- Locking down the admin dashboard and API routes
- Testing how it holds up under load and edge cases
The idea is to build a behavioral defense layer that developers can actually inspect, self-host, and test in front of their own web apps.
Still a lot of work left before public release. No launch dates yet, just building and testing it step by step.
