TL;DR Welcome back to Dev Opportunity Radar. This is a weekly series where I share opportunities, resources, communities, and interesting finds ...

the quick scan and the reminder to verify official pages make this useful. i would add a small last checked date and a status field for each listing, then link the source beside the deadline and eligibility line. a simple filter for location, audience, cost, and closing date could also help readers find a fit faster. that keeps the radar helpful when programs change after publication.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback, Swapnoneel! It really means a lot.

I agree. The tricky part is that DEV articles are static, so it's a bit difficult to add interactive filters or keep everything updated once an edition is published.

That's actually one of the reasons I built the Dev Opportunity Radar website. It already has filters for things like status (Upcoming, Rolling, Closed) and categories, which makes it much easier to browse opportunities.

I like your ideas about filters for location, audience, cost, and even a last checked date. I will definitely take another look and see what I can do there over time.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your ideas. Feedback like this really helps me improve the radar πŸ˜€

What opportunities, communities, grants, fellowships, hackathons, conferences, or resources have you come across recently that deserve more attention?

I am always looking for things to include in future editions, so feel free to share anything interesting you've found. If I feature one of your finds in a future edition, I'll always make sure to credit you.

If you discovered an opportunity through the radar, applied to something, joined a community, attended an event, or simply found something you hadn't seen before, I'd genuinely love to hear about that too. With your permission, I'd be happy to feature your update in a future πŸ’™ Reader Updates section.

Small request: If you are sharing a link, please avoid posting raw URLs directly. DEV sometimes filters them before I get a chance to see the comment.

Worth flagging for the readers outside the US, which is most of this site: two of the three are geographically gated in practice. The YC expo is Bay Area, and Z Fellows puts you in SF or NYC for the final day, which is a visa and a plane ticket before it is an opportunity. The Ambassadors program is the one that is genuinely worldwide, and the monthly API credits are the part that actually matters if you are building rather than organizing.

On CS329A, the lectures people skip are the ones that pay. Everyone watches the planning and tool-use material and ships an agent that demos beautifully. The evaluation sections are where you learn why it stops working in week three. If you only have time for part of the playlist, start at the end.

Thank you, Vinicius! I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

I see your point. Finding truly global opportunities is honestly one of the hardest parts of putting these editions together.

I am actually in India myself at the moment, so I really want to find more opportunities that aren't location-gated too. I spend a lot of time searching for opportunities that people from anywhere can apply to because I don't want readers outside the US to miss out. Unfortunately, really good global opportunities are much harder to come across than location-specific ones.

When I do include opportunities like these, it's because I genuinely think they are valuable for the people who are eligible. I'd rather feature a high-quality opportunity that's location-specific than include something just because it's global. Everyone's time is valuable, and I don't want people spending it on opportunities that I don't genuinely think are worth recommending.

That said, I am still searching every week for more global opportunities, and I really hope future editions include more of them. I'll definitely keep your feedback in mind as I continue building the series.

And thank you for the tip about CS329A too. I hadn't thought about starting with the evaluation lectures first. That's a really interesting suggestion, and I'm sure it'll help other readers as well.
