👋 Hi everyone!
My name is Kennedy, and I’m excited to be here!
I joined this space to keep learning and improving my coding skills — especially in web development, AI/ML systems, and other emerging technologies. I love building creative, interactive projects that solve real-world problems.
💡 Here’s a joke:
You can check out my GitHub: github.com/kawacukennedy
Feel free to share any feedback or recommendations — I’m always open to learning!
Love the joke, and welcome!
I'm working on security tooling and always curious about AI/ML systems. What's your favorite tool/framework/workflow for this?
Looking forward to seeing what you share here!
Hey, thanks so much! Glad the joke landed!
That’s really cool — security tooling sounds super interesting, especially when combined with AI/ML. I’ve been playing around with TensorFlow and PyTorch for experiments, and lately diving into LangChain + FastAPI to build some interactive AI tools.
What kind of stuff are you working on in security? Always curious how people are blending AI into that space.
Hi Kennedy!
I'm very interested in learning web development, AI/ML systems, do you have any recommendations on where to start?
Thanks
Hey! That’s awesome to hear. Both web dev and AI/ML are super fun (and sometimes a bit overwhelming at first).
For web development, I’d say start with the basics: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, then try building small projects like a to-do app or weather app to get hands-on practice.
Once you’re comfortable, move on to a framework like React or Next.js.
For AI/ML, start with Python, learn some data fundamentals (NumPy, pandas), then check out scikit-learn or TensorFlow to play with simple models.
If you want, I can share a small roadmap or list of free resources I’ve used. Would that help?
Hi Kennedy!
Thanks for texting back, I do have experience in the web side, been working on that area for a couple of years, but yes... when it comes to AI/ML I'm pretty new and that roadmap would be super helpful!
Thank you!
Hey, that’s awesome! Since you’ve already got web dev experience, you’ll pick up AI/ML concepts pretty fast.
Here’s a simple roadmap to get started:
Python basics – Make sure you’re comfy with loops, functions, and data structures.
Data handling – Learn NumPy and pandas for working with datasets.
Math essentials – Brush up on linear algebra, stats, and a bit of calculus (just the intuition part at first).
Machine learning – Start with scikit-learn for things like regression, classification, and clustering.
Deep learning – Move to TensorFlow or PyTorch once you understand ML concepts.
Projects – Try things like a movie recommender, image classifier, or chatbot.
If you want, I can put together a small list of free courses and tutorials that follow this path. Tell me if you'd like it?
👋 Hi everyone!
I’m Edmund Sparrow, creator of GnokeStation — a free web-based desktop platform designed to make computing accessible from any browser or device.
I joined this community mainly for visibility — not to market, but to make it easier for people who could genuinely benefit from GnokeStation to discover it. I’m passionate about building open, browser-first tools that empower creators, learners, and developers — all from mobile.
Glad to be here and open to connect with anyone interested in web-based OS concepts or offline-first app development.
Hello Edmund, is GnokeStation something like Edge or Firefox?
Sorry I respond late :
Gnokestation isn’t a browser like Edge or Firefox — it actually runs inside your browser.
Think of it like having a mini computer system that opens right inside your browser. You can open apps, add plugins, and customize things the way you like — all without installing anything big.
So instead of being a browser, it’s more like your own little operating system that lives inside one.
So something like iOS running inside Windows 10? Or bigger.... iOS running in Android?
Haha good question 😄
Not exactly like iOS running inside Android, but you’re close!
Gnokestation runs inside your browser (like Chrome or Brave) but feels like a mini computer system of its own.
Instead of just visiting websites, you can open real “apps” — things like notes, file managers, or tools — all in one clean space.
It’s basically your own operating system that lives in the browser, and soon it’ll even be able to control real hardware through a driver system I’m working on. Updates coming soon 🚀
Excuse my all caps... but... COULD I INSTALL IT ON A SNAPON ZUEZ MODULE?
You don’t need to install Gnokestation on any device — it actually runs inside your web browser.
So if your Snap-on Zeus module can open a modern browser (like Chrome or Edge), you can access and use Gnokestation right away — no installation or setup needed.
Hey, just found this site while looking for a replacement for The Code Project website.
Been programming for +30 years but mainly C#, TypeScript, and PIC Microchip Assembly, but have worked with a bunch of others.
Please excuse me if this isn't the right place to ask this, but I use to write articles on The Code Project, some of them across multiple posts, and looking for a new place that I can share them. I am looking into starting a new series (developing a syntax highlighter, parser, and debugger for a custom language in VS Code) and wanted to make sure if I do it, this site the an appropriate place to share it.
You should share them here! You should be able to import pretty easily via RSS as well.
Thanks for the welcome. Maybe you can help with something as I am not sure where to ask it just yet. I am trying to make a post, but I am getting parsing errors for a multi-line KaTex expression. Where would be the best place to ask for help with this?
@dominick_marciano_1597b95 want to send me an email with a draft of your post? jess@forem.com
@jess Huh oh, was I not supposed to publish it already? If not, my mistake as I am still familiarizing myself with the site. I have unpublished it for now just in case and just sent you the link via email.
The LaTeX code is slightly different that what I am used to but managed to figured it out. Not importing my series because the site I originally posted it on has gone in maintenance mode and will be gone soon so a lot of links and stuff are broken. Plus the original article is like 7 years old at this point so time to update outdated information and re-write it better. Thanks for information though; it is greatly appreciated.

Hi..! Everyone Hope You All Are Great :D
I just joined this group right now and I got the profile from the LinkedIn Community.
I'm very curious to gain knowledge and solve the development related problems/issues, designing terminologies & debugging also..
So let's start this process further on..
Howdy. I've been writing code professionally for 40 years. Lots of good stories. I still love it, I'm still learning, and still looking for good stories! Been dotnet-centric since its inception, javascript/angular/nextjs on the frontend, dabbling in python, and now focused on LLM development. Looking forward to hanging with folks here.
Hi, I'm Michael, living on Guadeloupe, in the French Antilles. This is the platform I have been searching for. It's already feeling like home, just from browsing.
I will be posting Linux and other tutorials, as I am a Debian purist. I am not a coder, but will occasionally post bash scripts I think are worth sharing.
Anything I post, is 100% my own, even if Ai-checkers say my work is 96% AI-generated, maybe I'm part cyborg!
Looking forward to learning and contributing. Here's part 1 of my Linux journey. (dev.to/divsmart/i-finally-found-my...)
Hey everyone! Mike here - been building websites for 15 years and currently working on my first product launch: GuardianScan, a website audit tool for modern web standards.

Hello devs,
I'm Tirth , new to coding universe ! I am currently 18 years old, pursuing Bachelor of Engineering at the prestigious Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Gujarat, India.
In my aim to become a good coder and developer, I have started visiting different coding websites, which has brought me to the coding community, where I am sure my seniors will surely help me.
I don't know any coding language and at the University, the languages will be taught in Second Semester. So in pursuit of getting overview of the languages, I want to read as many articles and blogs.
It is my first post. Do give me suggestions.
Thank you coding community ☺️
Writing codes, debugging, creating, etc are all lovely. What direction are you facing? 😊

Hey Dev.to!
I'm a product manager who codes on weekends because building > talking about building.
Just wrapped my first solo project – a multi-chain crypto transaction exporter. Built it in 24 hours with Replit after getting frustrated with checking a lot of different block explorers during tax season.
Here to:
Fun fact: My profile pic is from Ghost in the Shell because cyberpunk aesthetics > corporate headshots.
Vinyl collector + anime/sitcom addict :)
Hello!
I'm James, and I'm here because I'm working on JMo Security - an open-source security audit toolkit that orchestrates multiple scanners with unified outputs.
What brought me here: I spent too much time consolidating outputs from Trivy, Semgrep, TruffleHog, and friends for my Capstone Project. So I built a tool that does it for me (and now anyone can use it).
Currently learning: How to write better technical content that actually helps people. Turns out explaining complex security tools in plain English is harder than building them 😅
Fun fact about me: I recently am career-transitioning into Cyber/IT/DevSec from Operations of over 12 years
Looking forward to connecting with other security-minded devs and open-source maintainers here!
Hey , I am Vishal Vishwakarma from India . I am just starting my journey in the field of development. I am learning full stack web development. Then after I will learn SEO , Web Designing Skills , Dev OPs and then I am going to learn Security Skills etc. I am also curious to learn WASM, Web GPU , Web GL like advanced technologies.
I know that there are many developers who have already achieved all of this . I am here to learn from all those reputed devs.
I am a bit confused . My learning pace is good and I understand the concepts well and much easily. But I have no better single resources to learn this all for free. Please Advice me some resources that are best at free cost .
And also suggest me the best roadmap to Achieve this goal .
I am learning JavaScript for now . I am a bit comfortable with python.
Hi everyone, I'm Tareck Issa beginner in Python and Window user, I love depth over breadth, I love to know why and how it works rather than just making a syntax correct and make my code work.
I use deep book like learning python by mark lutz 4th edition alongside with 6th edition. I don't know any other programming language apart from python
My biggest success is creating my algorithm to filter out Prime numbers based on basic principles from scratch by myself.
While almost every developer I ever see manifest Java and javascript on my side I see it allergic thus I prioritize Python, C,C++ and Cython
Further more, even though I've been teaching myself for 4 months now, covering over 600 pages of the book, soon I'll join University to pursue my degree in software engineering
Hi All!

Cordialement
Vincent Hardy
Hello everyone 👋
My name is Christian I'm a frontend developer.
I've been working using React/Vue/Angular for a couple of years but recently I've been feeling that I lost the spark to keep learning new stuff... mostly because I'm very busy at work and whenever I have free time I want to be away from the laptop.
BUT! I'm feeling it again and I really want to learn new stuff, AI... I just got a cursor license and I'm just looking where to start, do you have any tips? any recommendations in what to learn? Any interesting topics? any comments will be highly appreciated.
I'm down for any collaborations, I want to improve my skills and collaborate in different projects.
Thanks for reading, Happy coding!
Hi there! 👋
I’m Jack, and I’m fairly new to Java. The only programming language I’ve really used before is JavaScript — which is more high-level compared to Java. Java feels a bit more low-level to me, and its syntax is quite long and challenging to memorize and fully understand 😅
From what I’ve researched, Java developers are currently in high demand, especially in enterprise companies, so I decided to seriously learn it! 🚀
I’d say I’m still at a junior level, but I’m structured in the way I think — and I want to use that strength to guide me through this learning journey.
Please take a look at my first post and let me know your thoughts or any advice you might have. I’d really appreciate it! 🙏✨

Hey, I am a senior digital designer covering pretty broad spectrum of design topics, including UX, UI, 3D, Typography, Branding and Motion Design.
I would like to get involved in some ethical AI projects where you could design input. I wish to get a grip on working more closely with this tech but I don't have time & motivation to build stuff from scratch completely on my own.
I am happy to support any scientific projects, or if the focus touches sustainability, climate crisis resilience, democracy, psychology etc. if open source it's a plus. I am not interested in any commercial applications.
If you have any friends who might be interested – please share this message with them.
