Uae — Best Crypto Exchange (2026)

For trading crypto in the UAE, your options are defined by the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). Operating outside VARA-licensed platforms is a significant risk. As of now, three exchanges have secured full operational licenses, making them the primary choices for 2026.

Binance holds a Full Market Product (FMP) license from VARA. Its spot trading fee is 0.1% for makers and takers, dropping to 0.06%/0.08% with BNB holdings. It’s the liquidity leader, with over $18 billion in daily volume, offering the widest range of coins and services like staking and futures.

Bybit also has a VARA FMP license. Its tiered fee structure is highly competitive: 0.1% for spot, but makers can get 0% fees and takers 0.06% with reasonable volume. It’s a strong alternative for derivatives and copy trading, with robust AED deposit options.

Crypto.com secured its VARA license in late 2024. Its standard trading fee is 0.4%, which is high, but can be reduced to 0.075% by staking its CRO token. Its strength is its polished app and the Crypto.com Visa card, which offers cashback in crypto, a unique perk for UAE residents.

OKX is in the final stages of its VARA licensing process and is fully operational under a provisional permit. Its fee model is similar to Binance at 0.1% standard, with reductions for OKB token holders and volume. It’s the go-to for advanced traders wanting access to deep DeFi tools and a superior trading interface.

If you're in UAE, start with Binance because its full license, deepest liquidity, and lowest baseline fees make it the most practical and secure on-ramp. Use Bybit if you focus on derivatives or want aggressive fee discounts, and Crypto.com if you plan to use its card for daily spending. Always fund these accounts via bank transfer (AED) to avoid unnecessary FX conversion charges.
