I have no idea why but for some reason I've taken to using Thunderbird as my e-mail client on my "new to me" mac.
When you do a search in Thunderbird for some keyword(s) the results that are returned have limited interactivity, sure there's a nice histogram with the volume of the e-mails found plotted over time, but can you do anything useful like... delete them?
Nope, fear not, apparently you just need the results in a "list". I thought it already looked "listy", but there's a link in the top right to "show results as list", this allows an even more "listified" view of the results to be rendered in a new tab.
This option evaded me for way too long (and others don't seem super happy with it), but for now I can happily bulk select and trash.
Good night
