We Built 15+ Privacy-First Islamic Apps — Here's Why

WeCoded 2026: Echoes of Experience 💜

It started with a simple request. Our founder's mom needed a clean, ad-free Hijri calendar widget. He built one for her.

That single app revealed something much bigger — millions of Muslims were relying on digital tools that exploited their faith for profit.

Then in 2020, a popular Islamic app was caught selling user data to military contractors.

That was the moment FlagoDna was born.

The Problem

The world's 2 billion Muslims often rely on apps built with secular, profit-first priorities:

  • Maximize screen time
  • Collect and sell user data
  • Serve targeted ads
  • Gamify sacred practices

This creates a painful conflict — seeking spiritual resources but getting monetized instead.

What We Built

FlagoDna is a parallel digital infrastructure rooted in Islamic values.

Our architecture principles:

  • Offline-first — sensitive data never leaves your device
  • Zero data selling — ever
  • No tracking — no ads, no behavioral analytics
  • Honest monetization — freemium + donations, not exploitation

Our Apps

HadisKu — Complete hadith reader from 14 imams, fully offline
FastiQuran — Quran reader with official Indonesian translation, zero ads, zero data collection
AmalanKu — Daily good deeds tracker, designed for self-reflection, not gamified engagement
Lens Browser — Privacy-focused Android browser with built-in ad and tracker blocking

Traction (Fully Bootstrapped)

60,000+ total downloads
 7,500+ monthly active users
    15+ maintained applications
