Building for 35k+ Smallholder Farmers

Most software engineers spend their days writing code that exists solely within a digital ecosystem. There is a unique shift that happens when you take those same skills and apply them to challenges that have a physical impact on the world.

At PassportTurtles, we believe in building work that solves tangible problems. We are launching an open-source community focused on a single mission: supporting farmers by providing the infrastructure they need through thoughtful, community-driven agri-tech.

The Campaign: #AfricaSpeaks

Agricultural infrastructure is the backbone of food security, and many farming communities face barriers that technology can help address. Through our initiative, #AfricaSpeaks, we are exploring how to bridge those gaps. We are building tools that aim to make a difference in the lives of those working the land.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for developers who want to build something with a clear purpose. Whether you are looking to sharpen your skills, build something for your portfolio, or find a sense of personal satisfaction in your daily commits, you will find a place here. We are an open, collaborative space for anyone who wants to contribute to projects that prioritize social impact.

Join the Community

We are just getting started, and we are looking for people to help us build the foundation. We are launching a series of weekly GitHub Live Jams—a space where we can code together, tackle problems in real-time, and iterate on our projects.

Join our Discord: Here – This is where we discuss, organize, and plan our next moves.

Check out our GitHub: Here – See what we are building and how you can get involved.

We are a group of people who want to build something useful. If you want to contribute to an open-source project that serves a greater cause, you belong with us.

Let’s build something real. See you on Discord.
