The article analyzes a start-up as a cognitive machine prone to thinking errors resulting from time pressure and ambition. Using Daniel Kahneman's concept of System 1 (intuitive) and System 2 (analytical), the author points out that overreliance on narrative and intuition often leads to catastrophe. The text discusses in detail key psychological traps: overconfidence, which blocks learning; confirmation bias, leading to the selective choosing of data to fit a preconceived thesis; and FOMO, which blinds investors and lowers due diligence standards. The essence of the text is the postulate of replacing arrogance with competence, understood as the ability to critically analyze data, verify hypotheses, and maintain operational sobriety in the face of the market's 'Hyde'.
