The Axiology of War and Peace: A Modern Lesson from Sun Wu

This text provides an in-depth analysis of Sun Wu's treatise through the lens of contemporary geopolitical and social challenges. The author argues that the foundation of a state's security lies not solely in military potential, but in a coherent system of values shared by its citizens. By deconstructing concepts such as Dao, Shi, and Qi, the article demonstrates how to build institutional and social resilience in an era of hybrid warfare. A key element is a strategy of winning without fighting, based on recognizing manipulation and disinformation. An analysis of 36 stratagems serves as an early warning tool against institutional crises. The entire work concludes with a reflection on the role of collective emotions and infrastructure in maintaining the stability of the republic, proposing that true victory arises in the sphere of an axionormative order.
